Right in line with the growing trend toward smaller, smarter
homes, this sharp and purposeful new build was designed for a couple planning
ahead for retirement. Working in close collaboration with our consulting
architect and a trusted team of subcontractors, we delivered a home that
balances space, comfort, and long-term efficiency — all within budget.
The design is compact but full of impact: two bedrooms, two
bathrooms, and two living areas are carefully arranged around a clean gable
form, which presents a smart profile from the street. The entry reveals
beautiful views over a stream and parkland, adding a sense of calm and openness
to this well-considered home.
Built with a focus on sustainability and energy performance, the home is naturally warm in winter and cool in summer — all while keeping running costs low. Features include:
There’s also generous storage and utility space, including a
large garage, workshop, and motorhome parking.
The project was awarded Gold in the Master Builders
House of the Year competition — and more importantly, it fulfilled every part
of the brief: warm, healthy living, low energy bills, enduring craftsmanship,
and peace of mind for the years ahead.
